The Green indicates these are new since the last email
The Purple indicates necessity to pre-register      NEXT MEETING : Thursday, 29 June 2017 1900 hrs (7:00 pm) American Legion Post 1 ( sw corner of 7th Avenue and Polk) NOTES   There are other notes of interest following the list of events 1)   Member update :  Bob Delsi is still undergoing Chemo.  He is living with his sister who is nurse / lost a lot of weight.  He has a new cell phone number.  Contact Larry Mitchell or Sue Wudy if you need it. Jim and Jill McHaney’s home went up in flames on Father’s Day.  Thankfully they were able to get the grandkids out and their dog.  In addition, it did not touch the garage so none of their vehicles were damaged.  The insurance company says the house is toast and so they are looking for an apartment until the house can be rebuilt   As of two hours ago, Terry Nolan is OK.  Larry Mitchell will keep us updated or you can watch the news about the fire in Mayer (think I spelled that right).  Keep these people in your prayers and hope that the firemen can get the fire under control without too much more damage. 2)   This will be the last meeting to purchase a 2017 daytimers. This is a small fundraiser for the chapter to help fund our donations. WE will also have chapter pens available for $3.00 3)    From: Mario.Nunez@va.gov]   IMPORTANT : This came directly from a VA publication
All, please be aware of a VCP program scam that is currently happening. We called the FAKE number this morning, and they are
redirecting Veterans because “the system is down, you are being redirected to a promotional number, where you are being
offered a $100 gift card.” It then goes on to ask the Veteran for a Credit Card number. Please ensure Veterans are aware of this
scam, and that the VCP is 1-866 not 1-800.    4)     Operation Enduring Gratitude Foundation will install  (4) Wheel Chair Ramps this Saturday, 01 July.  Please click on the link below that has the detailed information for all locations: https://1drv.ms/w/s!AkKXyOAyzWp5gQUoEDsiPym4_RU3   Please e-mail both Charlie and I by Wednesday, June 28 to let us know if you want to be on the  "Alpha" or "Bravo" team. The  Foundation is a 501(c3) formed by Maryville Revitalization Corp.  If you know someone needing assisrance in maintenance of their home, feel free to contact them : 480-678-0938, Charlie@OperationEnduringGratitude.org, www.TeamOeg.com. 5)   The Veteran’s Self-Help Guide to DISCHARGE UP-GRADING HelpGuidetoDischargeUp-Grade.PDF- http://www.countyofkings.com/home/showdocument?id=432
